Description
A quick and flavorful one-pan chicken dish inspired by Texas Roadhouse. Juicy chicken breasts are seared and simmered in a buttery garlic, honey, and smoked paprika sauce.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- ¼ cup unsalted butter
- 2 teaspoons honey
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ¼ cup chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
1. In a small bowl, whisk together butter, honey, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook chicken for 5–6 minutes per side, until golden and cooked through (165°F). Remove from skillet and set aside.
3. Add chicken broth to the skillet, scraping up browned bits. Stir in the butter mixture until smooth.
4. Return chicken to skillet, spoon sauce over the top, and let simmer for 2–3 minutes.
5. Garnish with parsley and serve hot with your favorite sides.
Notes
Add ¼ cup heavy cream at the end for a creamy version.
Swap chicken breasts for boneless thighs if you prefer dark meat.
Use a meat thermometer to ensure the chicken reaches 165°F for safe consumption.
