This Smashburger Quesadillas recipe mashes up the best parts of a classic burger and a cheesy quesadilla into one crispy, melty, flavor-packed bite. Quick, easy, and perfect for weeknights or game day.
Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
Salt, pepper, garlic powder (to season)
4 large flour tortillas
1 cup shredded cheddar or American cheese
Optional: pickles, diced onions, burger sauce for serving
Instructions
1. Heat a skillet or griddle over medium-high heat.
2. Press a small handful of ground beef directly onto one half of each tortilla. Season well with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
3. Cook beef side down for 2–3 minutes until browned.
4. Flip the tortilla so the beef side is up, sprinkle cheese over the beef, fold the tortilla in half, and press gently.
5. Grill both sides until golden and crispy, and the cheese is fully melted.
6. Slice and serve with your favorite burger toppings or dipping sauce.
Notes
For extra flavor, spread burger sauce or mustard on the inside before adding the beef. You can also add jalapeños, sautéed mushrooms, or swap in a spicy cheese blend for a kick.
