Description

This Crockpot Butter Chicken is creamy, comforting, and full of warm, rich flavors. With simple ingredients and effortless slow-cooking, you get a restaurant-style meal that’s perfect for busy nights and family dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs chicken breasts or thighs, diced
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • ½ cup butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream or coconut milk
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp turmeric
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

Instructions

1. Add chicken, onion, garlic, tomato sauce, butter, and all spices into the crockpot. Stir to coat.

2. Cook on LOW for 6 hours or HIGH for 3 hours until chicken is tender.

3. Stir in heavy cream and lemon juice. Let cook 10–15 minutes until the sauce becomes smooth and creamy.

4. Taste, adjust seasoning, and serve warm over rice or with naan.

Notes

Use chicken thighs for extra tenderness.

Coconut milk works great for a dairy-free version.

For thicker sauce, remove the lid for the final 15 minutes.

Add a pinch of cayenne if you like extra heat.
