Description
Pasta Caesar Salad is a fresh and satisfying twist on a classic Caesar salad, combining bowtie pasta, crisp romaine, parmesan cheese, crunchy croutons, and creamy Caesar dressing. Perfect as a side dish or light lunch.
Ingredients
- 10 to 12 ounces uncooked bowtie pasta
- 1 (9-ounce) bag chopped hearts of romaine or 1 large romaine heart, washed and coarsely chopped
- 1/2 cup Caesar dressing
- 1/2 cup shaved parmesan cheese
- 1 cup croutons
- Salt, to taste
- Freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
Instructions
1. Cook the bowtie pasta in salted water according to package directions until al dente.
2. Drain and rinse the pasta under cool water to stop the cooking. Drain well and set aside.
3. In a large bowl, toss the chopped romaine with the cooled pasta, Caesar dressing, shaved parmesan, and croutons.
4. Add more dressing if desired and season with salt and generous amounts of freshly cracked black pepper to taste.
5. Toss again until evenly coated and serve immediately.
Notes
Serve immediately after mixing for best texture. Add grilled chicken or bacon to make it a heartier meal. Use homemade Caesar dressing for extra flavor or store-bought for convenience. For a crunchier salad, wait to add croutons just before serving.
