Description

Homemade Crack Chicken Tenders are crispy, cheesy, and loaded with ranch flavor—perfect for a comforting meal or a kid-friendly dinner. Baked to golden perfection with a crunchy cracker crust, these tenders are deliciously addictive and easy to customize for any diet.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ pounds chicken tenders, trimmed
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt (or mayonnaise)
  • 1 packet (1 ounce) ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup crushed Ritz crackers (or panko breadcrumbs)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Cooking spray or olive oil
  • Optional Substitutions:
  • Swap Greek yogurt for plant-based yogurt or vegan mayo
  • Use gluten-free breadcrumbs if avoiding gluten

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease with cooking spray.

2. In a medium bowl, mix Greek yogurt (or mayo) with ranch seasoning until smooth.

3. In another bowl, combine shredded cheddar cheese, Parmesan, crushed crackers, garlic powder, paprika, and black pepper.

4. Dip each chicken tender into the yogurt mixture, coating fully.

5. Press coated tenders into the cheese and cracker mixture until evenly coated.

6. Arrange tenders on prepared baking sheet and lightly spray tops with cooking spray.

7. Bake for 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until crispy and internal temp reaches 165°F (74°C).

8. Serve hot with dipping sauces like ranch, honey mustard, or barbecue.

Notes

Use freshly shredded cheese for better texture and melt quality.

Avoid overly thick coatings so the crust crisps up properly.

Add cayenne pepper or Italian herbs to customize the flavor.

For a gluten-free version, use gluten-free breadcrumbs or crackers.
