Description

These Fried Strawberry Cheesecake Sandwiches feature crispy golden brioche filled with sweet cream cheese, juicy strawberries, and strawberry jam. Perfect for breakfast, dessert, or an indulgent snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 slices brioche or challah bread
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar (plus more for dusting)
  • 1/2 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1/4 cup strawberry jam
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • 2 tbsp butter, for frying

Instructions

1. In a small bowl, mix softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth and creamy.

2. Spread the cream cheese mixture onto one side of four bread slices.

3. Top with sliced strawberries and a spoonful of strawberry jam, then cover with remaining bread slices to form sandwiches.

4. In a shallow dish, whisk together eggs and milk.

5. Dip each sandwich into the egg mixture, coating both sides evenly.

6. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Fry sandwiches for 2 to 3 minutes per side until golden brown, adding remaining butter as needed.

7. Remove from skillet and drain on a paper towel-lined plate. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

For extra crunch, add chopped almonds or pecans to the cream cheese mixture.

Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days or frozen for up to 1 month. Reheat in a skillet or oven until warmed through.

Try substituting strawberry jam with raspberry or apricot jam for a different flavor twist.
