Ingredients
- 1 lb Ground Beef
- 2 cups Egg Noodles
- 1 1/4 cup Milk
- 1 cup Chicken Broth
- 1/4 cup Sour Cream
- 1/4 cup Butter
- 1/4 cup Flour
- 3/4 teaspoon Salt
- 1/2 teaspoon Coarse Black Pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Onion Powder
Instructions
1. Bring a pot of water to a boil and cook the egg noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
2. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook, breaking it apart, until fully browned and no pink remains, about 6–8 minutes. Drain excess fat and set the beef aside.
3. In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the flour, whisking constantly for about 2 minutes to form a roux.
4. Gradually pour in the chicken broth, whisking to prevent lumps. Cook for 3–4 minutes until the sauce starts to thicken.
5. Slowly add the milk, stirring constantly. Cook over medium heat until thickened, about 5–7 minutes.
6. Mix in garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt. Stir well to combine.
7. Reduce the heat to low. Add the cooked noodles and browned ground beef to the sauce. Stir until everything is well combined and heated through.
8. Gently stir in the sour cream until fully incorporated. Serve hot with vegetables or garlic toast.
