Description

Imagine tender, buttery potatoes coated in a luscious, velvety creamy garlic sauce that whispers hints of savory garlic with every bite. This comforting side dish is rich, flavorful, and easy to love.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese

Instructions

1. Wash, peel, and dice the potatoes into small pieces.

2. Boil the diced potatoes in a large pot until fork-tender. Drain and set aside.

3. In a separate pan, melt the butter over medium heat.

4. Add the minced garlic to the butter and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.

5. Slowly pour in the heavy cream, stirring constantly to combine with the garlic and butter.

6. Season the mixture with salt and black pepper, stirring well.

7. Add the cooked potatoes to the cream sauce and gently stir to coat evenly.

8. Sprinkle in the grated parmesan cheese, stirring until the cheese is melted and sauce thickens.

9. Simmer on low heat for 2–3 minutes, stirring occasionally.

10. Remove from heat and let rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For richer flavor, roast the garlic in butter until lightly browned before adding the cream.

Top with chopped parsley or chives for a fresh finish.

Add cooked bacon bits or diced chicken to make it heartier.

For a thicker sauce, mix 1 tablespoon of cornstarch with water and stir into the cream mixture.

Leftovers can be refrigerated in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Reheat gently before serving.
