Ingredients
Butter
Garlic
All-purpose flour
Chicken broth
Heavy cream
Parmesan cheese
Mozzarella cheese
Italian seasoning
Salt & pepper
Rigatoni or lasagna noodles (cooked)
Toasted breadcrumbs
Fresh parsley or basil
Instructions
1. In a large pot, melt butter over medium heat and sauté garlic for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
2. Stir in flour to form a roux and cook until lightly golden, about 1 minute.
3. Slowly whisk in chicken broth, stirring constantly to avoid lumps. Bring to a gentle simmer.
4. Add heavy cream, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
5. Reduce heat and stir in Parmesan and mozzarella cheese until melted and smooth.
6. Add cooked pasta and let it warm through in the creamy broth.
7. Serve hot in bowls topped with toasted breadcrumbs and chopped fresh parsley or basil.
Notes
Use rigatoni or broken lasagna noodles depending on your texture preference.
Add cooked shredded chicken or sautéed mushrooms for extra protein or flavor.
Toasted breadcrumbs give a lasagna-like crusty bite—don’t skip them!
Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days; the soup will thicken as it sits.
