Ingredients
- 1 can condensed Cream of Mushroom soup (10.5 ounces)
- ½ cup milk
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- 4 cups cut green beans (canned, frozen, or fresh)
- 1 1/3 cups crispy French fried onions, divided
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper (or to taste)
Instructions
1. Spray a 9×9 baking dish with non-stick spray.
2. Prep green beans: Blanch fresh beans, drain canned beans, or thaw frozen beans and pat dry.
3. In a large bowl, mix soup, milk, and soy sauce until smooth.
4. Stir in green beans, ⅔ cup fried onions, and pepper. Mix well.
5. Spread into prepared dish.
6. Bake at 350°F for 25 minutes. Stir, top with remaining onions, and bake 5 more minutes until golden.
7. (Alternative method: Air fryer – Bake 10 minutes, stir, top with onions, and cook 2 more minutes.)
Notes
Use fresh green beans for texture or canned for classic feel.
Don’t skimp on fried onions—they’re the best part!
Add cheese, bacon bits, or sour cream for extra flavor.
Assemble ahead (without topping), refrigerate, then bake with onions when ready.
