Ingredients
For the Burger Meat:
- 1 lb ground beef (80/20 for the best flavor)
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp Worcestershire sauce
- ½ tsp Dijon mustard
- ¼ cup shredded cheddar cheese
For the Bowl:
- 4 cups chopped green lettuce
- ½ cup grape tomatoes, sliced
- ¼ cup chopped dill pickles
- ¼ cup diced or sliced red onion
- ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 avocado, sliced
- ½ cup burger sauce
For the Burger Sauce:
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 2 tsp Dijon mustard
- ¼ cup sweet relish
- 1 tsp vinegar or lemon juice
- ½ tsp paprika
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp ground black pepper
Instructions
1. Cook ground beef in a medium skillet over medium heat. Break up the meat while it cooks. Add salt, garlic powder, and pepper. Cook until browned and no longer pink.
2. Remove meat from heat and drain excess grease.
3. Add worcestershire sauce, dijon mustard, and cheddar cheese to the cooked meat. Stir to combine and allow cheese to melt.
4. In a medium bowl or plate, layer chopped lettuce, cooked meat, tomatoes, pickles, red onion, avocado, and shredded cheese.
5. Drizzle with burger sauce or dressing of your choice.
6. To make the burger sauce, combine all sauce ingredients in a bowl or jar and mix well. Store any leftovers in the refrigerator.
Notes
Use 80/20 ground beef for the best flavor and crispy bits.
Layer ingredients smartly: lettuce first, then warm beef, then toppings, and sauce last.
Burger sauce is recommended but you can use ranch, blue cheese, or your favorite dressing.
Set up a toppings bar and let each person build their own bowl.
Great for meal prep—store components separately and assemble before serving.
Reheat beef separately and add cold toppings afterward for best results.
