Ingredients
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup white whole wheat flour

Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.

3. Cut in the cold butter using a pastry cutter or fork until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
4. In a separate bowl, whisk together milk, egg, and vanilla extract.
5. Add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined—do not overmix.
6. Fold in the chopped apple evenly into the batter.
